One coach from each age group will be selected. Winners will receive a FREE ticket to the NCFC Courage game on May 21, and a certificate & small gift (picked up at the Courage game).

Congratulations to our Spring 2017 Coaches of the Season! Each of the following coaches were nominated by their team for going above and beyond the duty "coach" and selected to receive a FREE ticket to the NCFC Courage game on May 21, a certificate, and small gift (to be picked up at the Courage game). We are proud to have you on our team and applaud your continued commitment to the development of our players! Below are excerpts from some of the submitted nominations.
U5 | Matt MoreauRecreation Coed Dragons (Raleigh) "He always sends emails after each game highlighting the kids skills and
accomplishments. He truly makes our son feel like he is a part of a little family
on his team!"
U6 | Jason SalmonRecreation Coed Falcons (Wake Forest) "He challenges the kids and motivates them to push themselves while still
fostering their emotions. It sounds like a small feat, but he does it masterfully.
It's a rare ability to see in a person let alone a coach."U7 | Wendy BaileyRecreation Girls Darts (Raleigh) "She is retiring after 11 years of volunteering within the CASl program...She
is a parent, but not to any of the kids on our team and was at every practice
and game helping our kids grow their love of soccer and always providing a
positive and encouraging environment."
U8 | Daniel AgrestaRecreation Girls Geckos (Raleigh) "Coach Danny is very supportive of all the girls on the team and makes it a point
to personally congratulate each girl during a practice or a game for good efforts.
He is also very encouraging to players from the opposing team." "...is the best

Cooper's leadership they work together toward a common goal with passion."
"Cooper's engagement with the parents is outstanding. Cooper has turned the
team around from a winless season to an undefeated season (2 ties)."
U11 | Drew Folk
Challenge Girls Flash (Cary)
"Coach Drew has truly inspired my daughter to be a better soccer player, and to
be a better person....He gives honest and open feedback to both the kids AND
the parents about what it will take to get our daughters to the next level." "Drew
recently allowed the girls to shave his head to raise money for St. Baldrick's
Foundation. He is encouraging the girls to come up with ideas for a service
project for next season."
U12 | Chris Boyd
Recreation Boys Fury (Cary)
"He finds the good in every player - everyone is a contributor on his team. He is
always positive regardless of the score." "In addition to teaching them to be
competitive athletes, he has taught them to be good friends, to embrace new
player each season as part of the team, and to always demonstrate kindness."
U13 | Tony Ivosic & Bob ClausenRecreation Girls Angels (Raleigh) "Neither of these gentlemen have a daughter on the team. Tony has dedicated
9 years (18 seasons) to CASL girls recreation league and Bob has dedicated
20 years, 40 seasons! Both Bob and Tony focus on the camaraderie of the game
and the importance of demonstrating good sportsmanship. When necessary they
remind the parents to support their daughters by focusing on their strengths."

"Coach Hazim cares very much for the girls he coaches and it isevident in how
much time, energy and commitment he puts into coaching. He always speaks
respectfully to them and is kind and courteous to the players and parents alike"
"He models good sportsmanship...if the other team is missing a player, his team
will play with one less player. He teaches and demonstrates what it mean to be a
true athlete."

"He inspires them to be better, he focuses on self image and makes them know
how important and valuable they are. I've never seen a coach be so invested in
the well being of the girls he coaches and truly gives 150% all the time." "He has
taken all the girls from our old team and managed to seamlessly merge them
together with his old team (without a child on either team).

Recreation Boys Hornets (Raleigh)
"The camaraderie, the sense of fun, the support and commitment David makes to
these boys is far beyond compare....Everyone feels valued, special and cared
about for their unique qualities. David personally picks up many players before
